Bilateral Total Knees
This patient was sent to me by the amazing personal trainer Bonnie Lynn, who has worked with all ages, abilities, and fitness levels in the Houston area for over 20 years. She had a fundamental role in Mr. Jacobs’ recovery after his Bilateral Total Knees Surgery.
This procedure allowed him to regain and improve his movement, and get rid of the constant pain in those diseased joints. After recovering from the surgery, we can see him enjoying his workout without any complications!
Despite the Bilateral Total Knees procedure had an amazing result in this case, all decisions about Knee replacement must be made in conjunction with your surgeon or a licensed healthcare provider.

Fantastic experience. When I came to see Dr Berkman, I had trouble walking through the grocery store. Within days of my surgery, I feel normal again. I can not recommend Dr Berkman and his office enough.

I had the pleasure of being a medical student with Dr. Berkman and truly admired his rapport with patients. He spent time with each patient to understand their concerns and taught me a lot not only about orthopedics, but about good patient care. He is very knowledgeable about his field. He is the best! Dr. Eric Berkman in my opinion is the best! I have been suffering with a torn meniscus for over 9 months waiting on worker’s comp to approve my surgery. Finally Dr. Bedlam did my surgery over 5 weeks ago and I was walking on it the next morning. He is amazing along with his staff being friendly and accommodating! I would recommend him and will use him if I never need anything done again.

Great staff, excellent communication for surgery scheduling, and a fantastic experience with Dr.Berkman. I appreciated the outstanding care he gave towards my knee surgery and the successful outcomes. Would highly recommend.

Dr. Berkman is the best. He is extremely thorough and knowledgeable and truly cares. He spent so much time going over my X-rays and patiently explaining what his prognosis was. Then he discussed what i could do in regard to exercises, lotions and massagers to help relieve my symptoms.I would give him an 11 out of 10. !!!

Dr Berkman did my ACL reconstruction surgery and 7 months later I am so glad I went to him. Even before the surgery, he kept me informed and really cared that I was comfortable with the process. Now- I feel just as strong and mobile as I did before tearing my ACL, and I owe it all to Eric- 10/10 fantastic surgeon and awesome guy! Referring all my friends and family

I saw Dr. Eric Berkman yesterday with great pain in my shoulder. It was the first time I saw Dr. Berkman, and I was very lucky to have found him. He is very pleasant, and very caring and extremely knowledgeable. He made a plan for me to follow for my shoulder, and I will see him again after I follow his instructions. The office staff is a five star office, especially Ebony the receptionist. I would highly recommend Dr. Berkman and his staff.

Dr Eric Berkman and his staff are true professionals. Knowledgeable, compassionate, caring and professionals at the highest level. If you want the best go to the best. Dr Berkman performed a full knee replacement on my left knee and I could not have asked for a better doctor or staff to perform the surgery. His surgical team is amazing and so extremely talented. I visited Dr. Berkman because I was having terrible pain in my right knee two and a half years after i had my right knee totaly replaced. This by the way is very unusual. Dr. Berkman identified the problem from x-rays and we scheduled and orthoscopic procedure to correct my pain issues. The Orthoscopic hospital at UT Physicians is wonderful. From moment I walked in the front dorrs to the admitting desk, everyone treated me courteously, and with care. The pre-op nurses made me feel very... comfortable. Before surgery Dr. Berkman spent time with me to discuss the procedure again and gave me a great feeling before going into the surgery room. After surgery waking up in the recovery area, again the nurses there made me feel very comfortable.I just visited Dr. Berkman today for my 2 week follow up visit and we reviewed the photos that were taken before and after the procedure within the knee. After two weeks my knee is at about 75% total recoveered. Based upon my experience with Dr. Berkman and his team of pofessionals, I would strongly recommend Dr. Berkman to anyone who needs orthoscopic surgery.read more

Went to see Dr. Berkman for terrible shoulder pain I had been experiencing for a couple weeks. His office got me in the next day after calling. During the visit his staff was great, got me checked in quickly, and did X-rays in the office. Dr. Berkman injected my shoulder in the office and even before I left the office my shoulder was feeling dramatically better. By the next day the pain was gone and I even re-gained mobility in that shoulder over the next couple of days. Dr. Berkman is an outstanding doctor. He is friendly and takes the time to get to know a little about you before just going straight to chart checking. I felt extremely comfortable in my visit with him. I actually went to him as a second option from a referral. The 1st doctor walked in, looked at my chart and told me to schedule surgery. Dr. Berkman spoke with me, preformed range of motion exercises, reviewed my mri results carefully and determined surgery wasn't required and with some rehab I... could be as good as new. Note that I am an extremely active person, not a sedentary person. He could have easily scheduled a $16,000 (that was the other surgeons quote) surgery and collected his money, but he puts people first. I highly recommend him. Good luck to anyone who's injuries require surgey... I wish you the best. Dr. Berkman is the guy to see.read more

Dr. Berkman performed a total knee replacement on me in January of 2019. I am 9 weeks post-op today and it has been absolutely life changing. For the first time ever, i am able to keep up with my children. Dr. Berkman and his team are top notch professionals. I knew exactly what to expect going in. There are a few things I would like to pass along to those considering this type of procedure. Begin building strength prior to surgery and make sure that you follow the post-op instructions. Dr Berkman and staff are amazing. It’s rare to find an entire office of people who really care if you are getting well and are committed to making it happen. His staff is particularly wonderful, they have gone above and beyond to make my experience in their office smooth and as pain free as possible
